City Center Brigadoon Cast Recording, Starring Kelli O'Hara and Patrick Wilson, Sets Release Date

Ghostlight Records will release a cast album of their November 2017 gala production of Brigadoon in physical, digital, and streaming formats December 7. The album will feature performances from the production's entire cast, led by Tony Award winner Kelli O'Hara and Patrick Wilson, along with Stephanie J. Block and Robert Fairchild.

Since her Tony triumph in King and I, O’Hara has been receiving acclaim for TV work—playing the mother of a suicide victim on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why as well as an Emmy-nominated turn on the boundary-breaking web series The Accidental Wolf. After the darkness of her recent work, she is looking forward to living in the joy of Kiss Me, Kate, starting February 14 at Studio 54.

“The idea of going to do a musical comedy for a while is actually not just a career move,” she explains. “But it’s going to be an emotional move that is good for my soul.”

The beloved 1947 musical follows Tommy Albright (Wilson), an American who finds himself in an idyllic town in the Scottish Highlands that only appears for one day each century. He falls in love with Fiona MacLaren (O'Hara), a relationship that threatens certain doom for the entire town. The classic score includes such favorites as "The Heather on the Hill," "Almost Like Being in Love," "There But for You Go I," and the choral title song.

The production was directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon (An American in Paris), with Jack Viertel serving as artistic advisor. The Encores! orchestra was led by production music director Rob Berman.

City Center's gala production marked the work's 70th anniversary, and this album will celebrate book writer and lyricist Alan Jay Lerner's centennial. The album is produced by Lawrence Manchester, Berman, Emily Altman, and Kurt Deutsch.

The cast also includes Patricia Delgado, Sara Esty, Rich Hebert, Jamie Jackson, Ross Lekites, Aasif Mandvi, and Dakin Matthews, with an ensemble comprising Mark Aldrich, Giselle O. Alvarez, Florrie Bagel, Callan Bergmann, Ward Billeisen, Peter Chursin, Peyton Crim, Christine DiGiallonardo, Rebecca Eichenberger, Anastacia Holden, Andrea Jones-Sojola, Jules-Romay Joseph, Timothy McDevitt, David Scott Purdy, Nicholas Ranauro, Lindsay Roberts, Shannon Rugani, Carly Blake Sebouhian, Lucas Segovia, Gabriela M. Soto, Madison Stratton, Emily Tate, Ron Todorowski and Nicholas Ward.
